Also on Green, a first time production from John Cassils and his wife Nina.

Here’s a children’s animation from a first time claymation filmmaker, Anita Sancha, from Hereford England.
This designer, theatre performer and environmentalist used claymation, Adobe Photoshop, Premier and AnimatorDV to create the work. It took about 6-8 weeks to make this two minute film, working about 50 hours a week. Click here to watch “Home Sweet Home”.
Our next green clip is about people helping people... while on vacation. From helping out orphans in Tanzania to building homes for Habitat for Humanity, travel experts say an increasing number of baby boomers are participating in volunteer vacations.
During these trips, known as “voluntourism,” participants work with various affiliates to offer services or provide relief to those in need. Click here to see the video.
We’ll be adding more GreenTV videos soon, so check back often, or subscribe to our RSS feed. And if you’re enjoying what you see, please support StableRoad.
Narrated by Robert Redford and produced by The Redford Center at the Sundance Preserve and Alpheus Media, FIGHTING GOLIATH: TEXAS COAL WARS follows the story of Texans fighting a high-stakes battle for clean air. Global warming is one of the biggest environmental threats humanity will face in the 21st century. Caused by an overabundance of the heat-trapping gas, carbon dioxide, in the earth's atmosphere, global warming has caused changes in climate worldwide as well as disruptions in habitats and wildlife. “Global Warning” is a compelling short film created by Leonardo DiCaprio. Tibetans have lived off the grasslands of the Tibetan Plateau for millennia but their way of life is being threatened. Asia Society has commissioned this exclusive video shot by Tibetan environmentalists throughout 2008, showing how as the plateau warms up, this environmentally harmonious way of life is now under pressure. Rapidly melting glaciers and thawing permafrost have disturbed watersheds for rivers, lakes and the pastoral ecosystems and the consequences are continental and beyond. Running Time: 11 minutes. InfoDrop: Bottled water isn’t safer than tap water. Last year, Environmental Working Group did a study that tested popular brands of bottled water for contamination. They found 38 different harmful chemicals, including painkillers, fertilizer and arsenic, in 10 brands of bottled water.
InfoDrop: There are around 1 billion people without access to improved, safe, or affordable drinking water.
The person you love is 72.8% water.
The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being.
For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because Home is a non-profit film.
HOME has been made for you : share it! And act for the planet.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand
We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth's climate.
